Luxury Master Bedroom Suite in Koregaon Park: Design Story

When we received this project at Dream Interiors, the brief was clear: create a master bedroom that feels like a five-star hotel suite. The clients—a young couple with demanding careers—wanted their bedroom to be a true retreat from the world.

The Space

Area: 450 sq ft including attached bathroom
Location: Premium high-rise in Koregaon Park, Pune
View: East-facing with ample morning light
Budget: Premium (no constraints)

Design Philosophy

We drew inspiration from contemporary luxury hospitality—think Oberoi meets Scandinavian minimalism. The color palette stayed neutral: shades of taupe, cream, and muted gold, with texture providing visual interest.

The Bed Wall

The focal point is the upholstered headboard wall. A floor-to-ceiling panel in Italian fabric with subtle quilting creates drama without overwhelming. Integrated reading lights and charging ports keep nightstands minimal.

Walk-In Wardrobe

Adjacent to the bedroom, we created a 120 sq ft walk-in closet that rivals luxury boutiques.

His Side:

Suit hangers with proper spacing
Tie and belt organizers
Watch and accessory drawers
Full-length mirror with lighting

Her Side:

Dedicated sari section with padded hangers
Jewelry organizer with lock
Purse display shelves
Pull-out mirror with Hollywood lighting

Bathroom: A Private Spa

The attached bathroom (130 sq ft) was designed as a spa retreat:

Freestanding stone bathtub near the window
Double vanity in Statuario marble
Rain shower with multiple jets
Heated towel rails
Underfloor heating
Bluetooth sound system

Lighting Design

Multiple layers create ambiance:

Cove lighting: Soft peripheral glow
Pendant lights: Statement fixtures by bedside
Task lighting: Reading lights, vanity lights
Accent lighting: Art wall illumination

Smart Home Integration

Motorized curtains with light sensors
Scene-based lighting presets
Climate control from bedside
Voice-activated entertainment system

The Investment

This wasn't a budget project. The complete suite, including bathroom renovation, came to approximately ₹45 lakhs—a significant investment, but one that transforms daily life.
